In all honesty, I was first drawn to this app for its privacy features and that it doesn’t keep my data in the cloud. In fact, it doesn’t even have access to my s and secure information, except for some metadata it needs to keep my information synched between my devices. But I quickly fell in love with all the other features it has, not to mention it’s actually fun to use. The UX is great, but for my aging eyes, the UI could be a little easier to read...some of the fonts are tiny and/or difficult to read against the black background. E.g., the dark gray search icon should be white. But I’m more than willing to put up with a little bit of bad to have all the good this app provides. Here’s a real world example. Out of the 114 s I used on 1, over 17 of them will not autofill. In the app, only two are problematic. Another area in which this app excels is . Using the app is a paradigm shift from other managers and it take some time to acclimate. I received very fast and professional replies to the few initial questions I had...something that’s not often seen these days. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the app, and it is very reasonably priced, as opposed to an expensive subscription.

the app is almost the perfect manager. For $10 you get all pro features is quite a steal and really good to get you to start using a really well made manager. Yet a few things really made me stop using this app. First, even though this app is ed on almost all browsers, it really only “worked” on Chrome for me. I am an Opera and yes I understand that it’s not a super popular browser but it shouldn’t be a completely different app based on what browser I’m using and if you say you Opera, please actually it and not just give us a watered down version. The 2FAfeature doesn’t work in Opera and it locked me out of sites because I couldn’t auth the browser. Second, the CSV import system just does not work. I tried to export my s from Dashlane and for some reason would never save 80% of the s I tried to import even when the importer would recognize everything it needed to import the s. Finally, it just doesn’t have a all of the features that I am looking for in a manager. The 2FA feature is really cool, yet not being able to change your through the manager or not having auto like other managers have are real turnoffs. Once these two features are addressed I would gladly try this service again. I love Dashlane but is really expensive for what it is and think this could be a better alternative to it.

The reason I originally looked at this app in the first place was because it looked amazing. I looked into it more because you wouldn’t want to put your trust in an app that may not have good security practices. Luckily, this app is very private AND secure. All the data (s, names,etc) in the app is offline. When I saw that it was offline, I was thinking that I would lose all my data and not be able to sync between my devices securely. It’s actually end to end encrypted between the devices and you can safely and securely keep a back up file (that’s encrypted) on a computer. I would like to see the app add making .the app file backup features for iOS. Overall, the app has a breath-taking UI design and is very private and secure.

I definitely recommend paying to get the upgraded version. It’s a one time charge, not recurring. The desktop app is a great addition, but does have some strange tendencies. I was unable to open the desktop app, and had to reinstall several times. I finally went into the settings and turned off “Open on launch” and “Open in Background” and that seems to have solved my issues. Although this was a major frustration for several days, I’m not deducting any stars because the team is excellent! Quick response and they keep working until your issue is resolved. They even follow up to make sure everything is continuing to work correctly too!
