I had brief knowledge of the this app before this app and after I can comfortably call myself a well rounded player, it gives you all the tools you need to succeed with tutorials on everything from classic songs to blues tutorials and working around the frets. The videos make it super simple to learn the songs and you can even play along at 50x speed which was a brilliant edition.... I’ve been a member for 3 years and I can personally say it’s well worth it !!!!!

Pretty good way to learn songs of varying degrees of difficulty. It breaks each song down into sections for easier learning, you get the song, video and tabs. You should be able to print out the tabs, but you can’t which is a real problem if you want to follow along using the tabs. You can’t even read them on an IPhone because they are too small. They also don’t add very many new songs very quickly. I’ve been a monthly member for quite awhile now, I’ve made several song requests and not one of them have been added and they’re all populate songs by famous artists. You also can’t take advantage of the yearly hip specials without being on a computer. Kind of doesn’t make sense considering this is an iPhone app? I’ve asked specific questions regarding the hip specials and never had one email responded to? Guess they’d rather me be a monthly member, makes sense considering it’s more money for them in 12 months. I’d like to premiere member for a year, but not without a special and not without the ability of doing it on my phone? Wonder if they read these? If they do maybe they’ll make some needed changes? Doubt it.

My card was accidentally charged for the ONE YEAR subscription for this app. I’ve sent over 4 emails to CoachGuitar explaining my situation and requesting a refund, as the application has been removed from my device already and I’ve never even launched the app. They’ve been giving me the run around, telling me to ask Apple for a refund. I’ve already spoken to Apple at length regarding this issue, and it is not a Apple problem. My card was used to pay for the subscription directly through CoachGuitar, not through Apple. For some reason they don’t see this as a legitimate reason and keep referring me to ask Apple for a refund. Save yourself the trouble. And please don’t contribute to this app or their developers who seem to only want your money and couldn’t give less care towards customer service.

First off I would like to say this is a very good app for learning this app. That said it is not easy it is geared mostly toward fingerpicking and is very difficult songs to play. In my opinion it is not geared toward beginners at all. They need to have more songs for picking , with a pick. Not everybody wants to learn how to finger pick right away. The app description should be way more clear on that before you pay money to subscribe.
